The Resurection and...a Coffin?

This month we are talking to people about the Resurrection.  What better way to get the conversation flowing that drag a coffin onto the street?  We made a wooden coffin and have begin to use it as a tool to speak to people about life after death, and share how Jesus Christ did actually rise from the dead!  Pray for this outreach!

WHY?

This past week I spoke in the DTS here in Salem.  I had the students through out the week when they felt compelled to get up on a step stool and share why they believe in Jesus.  This is a powerful time for them, and to be honest, a very challenging time.  It was awesome to see how this simple activity brought boldness into their lives, and helped them to gain confidence in sharing their faith to others.

This student a few months ago was scared to even talk to people...she was the first to want to preach in public!  What an amazing work God has done in her life!  She will be one of our students for the OAS in the fall.

Speaking in DTS

The past three weeks I have had the opportunity to teach on evangelism in two DTS's.  One herein Salem, and the other in Boise, Idaho.  In Boise, I was able to bring Aidan along with me and it was a great time to spend some quality time together.  I love teaching, and it is always awesome to see how God works in the lives of students. Some highlights were seeing students share their faith for their first time, and gain confidence in that.  Truly blessed to be able to speak in DTS's.  Aidan loved it, and now tells me he wants to do a DTS when he turns 18.  I'm accepting donations towards that as of yesterday! :)

DTS Students from YWAM Salem excited after preaching the Gospel on our city buses!

Aidan and I were able to check out some cool places in Boise when I was not teaching.  This is us an Abe Lincoln.  He was much larger than I imagined.
