Praise God for a Van!

Our new 10 passenger van
At the beginning of January, we finally found and bought a van that we hope to use for a long time coming for our family.  It is a 2015 Ford Transit 10 passenger.  We were able to use all the funds we have been raising since last March along with the insurance claim money for our totalled Toyota and buy this van.  To all who have been praying for this need, and who personally contributed finances for this vehicle, we cannot say enough thanks.  We truly are grateful. We started raising funds exactly a year ago, and how faithful we have seen the provision of the Lord through the generousity of His people. Sarah still is embaressed when we drive places because we have officially entered "that category" of people who have to drive basically a transport van to go places with their family!  Ha ha!

Heading out for a hike in the new van.  Plenty of room in here!

The Family Front

Sarah and the kids on a hike
Now that we can go places in one vehicle, we have started to take advantage of any break in the rain to head out on some hikes.  Cant wait for the rain to stop...if it ever will!!  The family is doing well.  Busy with school and life in general.  Seems as if I live at the grocery store.

Adalyn just turned 6 months old.  How time flies!

Prayer Requests:
1. Continued health for all the kids.  So far, the flu has not hit us! :)
2. Continued ministry growth and direction for Gospel Focus
3. This summer, is YWAM Salems 40th Anniversary.  We are looking forward to that time and ask your prayers for these 3 special days.  We excpect between 200-300 to attend.
4. Continued financial provision for our ever growing family.
5. For God's favor on all the amazing ministries happening at YWAM Salem.  Take some time to see all that is happeneing at http://www.ywamsalem.org/

2nd Pulpit to Pavement

March 1st we will be hosting our 2nd "Pulpit to Pavement" day for local pastors.  Please lift this time up in prayer as we continue to try and build bridges with local pastors, and provide evangelistic outreach opportunities for them and their churches.  Our first Pulpit to Pavement went fantastic, and we look forward to this next one!

Working with Winter DTS students

Each week I get an hour of classroom teaching time before we head out and do evangelism with the DTS students.

A new winter quarter has started here at YWAM Salem, which means a whole new Discipleship Triaining School has started.  Every Tuesday and Wednesday, I get the opportunity to teach students about evangelism and then take them all on outreach each week.  So far these students have been fantastic!

Some DTS students doing outreach

Present DTS students.  These guys will split up into 4 teams in a few months and go to Thailand, and Africa for their outreaches.  So blessed to help equip them!

What is Love?

This past month at the Toolbox we equipped people on how to talk to non Christians about the topic of love.  It was a great time, and helped us all to be more confident during the month of February as we utilize the popular Valentines Day to talk to people about the love of God.  Next months Toolbox will be on the topic, "Leperchauns, Lies, and Truth...How to know truth in a fairy tale world." March is a great month to talk about such a topic.

Weekly Meetings with Mormons

Something we have begun to do is have weekly meetings with Mormon missionaries.  We are doing this for a few reasons.  First, is we desire to see Mormons come to know Christ.  Second, it is a great way to continue to have our own faith challenged and strengthened. Third, as Gospel Focus Ministries, we hope to continue to set an example for the body of Christ to be actively engaging non Christian world views with the gospel.  We presently are meeting on Thursdays.  Please keep these meetings in your prayers.
