Waltons or the Walters?

Our family enjoys the show the Waltons.  I think its simplicity is something we all enjoy. I guess I never knew how much this show influenced us because just like the Waltons, the Walter family in August will have a seventh child to add to the family!  We are excited and feel so grateful! We find out if baby is a boy or girl on March 15th.  The kids seem to be pretty excited as well. As with every child we have had, we ask for your prayers for health, and for life adjustments that lie ahead. Seven kids! Wow! Sarah and I are hoping this better our adds that one day one of the kids will be able to let us live in their yard, garage, stable, or whatever.

Eternal Encounter

We have had many people want to do ministry with us but because the average person has jobs during the day, it has proven to be difficult in seeing how we can address that issue.  So,we decided to try something new come May and June.  We will be doing 2 Saturday outreaches.  The hope is that people who have expressed interest can come be a part of it, "wet their appetite" for the GG ministry, and then begin to plug in more.  If this goes well, our plan is to offer an outreach one Saturday a month.  Please be praying for this outreach we are calling "Eternal Encounter".

A Ladies Home Group and the Gospel Guy Network

The ladies above are from a women's Bible study group in Albany, OR, a town about 20 minutes from Salem.  Last week they came up and we did some training with them, and they have committed to coming up one day a week for outreach!  This is so encouraging to me, as we are always trying to see how we can be a blessing in the GGN for others.  The Gospel Guy Network is growing slowly but surely in so many ways, and this is just another testimony to God's faithfulness.  These ladies said, "Enough sitting around talking to other Christians about Christian stuff, we want to tell those who don't know about Jesus the gospel!"

Spring Break Mission Adventures

At the end of March we will be getting 65 high school students for our Spring Break Mission Adventures trip.  This will officially be my last spring break leading the program!  That sounds weird, but I am super excited to see the transfer of this ministry come summer time.  The above picture is of our t shirts we will be giving the students.  Our theme this year is "Rockhound" and centers around the scripture about Christ being the cornerstone of our faith.  Please pray for Mission Adventures all across the nation as spring break we will see hundreds of high school students go on mission trips.
