Salvations in Salem

I am not a fan of keeping numbers when it comes to evangelism.  To be honest, I think the # 1 indicator of a true conversion is simply time.  Will the people we see give their lives to Jesus today, still be following Him a year from now?  All that being said, I did want to just say that God is moving in our city, and we are seeing people come to know Christ almost on a weekly basis.  This is all his doing, and we are just tremendously blessed to be able to be a part of His work.  Please continue to pray for the harvest.  People need the Gospel, and we can bring it to them.  The Gospel Guy is seeing fruit in many ways, as well as opposition.

Gospel Guy As High School Curriculum

This past March, we hosted a group of 60 high school students from Crosshill Christian School here, a local high school.  One of the HUGE fruits of this time, was that the principle of the school asked us if we would consider taking their seniors on outreach every Wednesday, and having the Gospel Guy ministry be part of their high school senior curriculum!  Of course we said yes, and we have had our first outreach with them already.  I am so encouraged for this relationship and opportunity we have!  The Gospel Guy Network is now working alongside Colleges, and high Schools on a consistent basis.

Temple Talks

I just wanted to ask you all for your continued prayers for our Temple Talks.  These times are becoming more and more rich, and we are bringing more and more people with us.  Recently we were able to bring a couple college groups with us, along with some more local pastors.  These times are breaking down walls, building relationships, challenging Christians, and showing non believers that Christians care about them and what they believe.  Please pray for us this Tuesday, May 9th, as we hold our Appreciation Breakfast for all these amazing people to simply say thank you for all their hospitality.

Fridays with Rabbi Eli

One of the areas the Gospel Guy ministry is growing in is simply in building relationships with non Christians.  Much of my schedule has been doing follow up meetings with people in whom I have met.  I recently met a young man named Zacharia, a Muslim from Saudi Arabia.  We have had coffee a few times, and he even came to Easter service with our family.  Pray for our relationship, and that one day he would come to know Christ.  another relationship the Lord has placed on my lap is with a local Rabbi of a Synagogue here in town, his name is Rabbi Eli.  I met him through taking students to his synagogue on our "Temple Talks".  Anyway, he is becoming a good friend, and we are beginning to meet every Friday afternoon to study the book of Matthew together! Per his request!  This is amazing to me, and to be honest, I have realized how little I know about the Jewish faith.  Pray for Rabbi Eli and our times together.

Vehicle Fundraiser Update

As you know we have been trying to raise $20,000 for a 9 passenger vehicle.  Just wanted to give you an update. We presently have raised around $11,000 for this need.  To all of you who have contributed to this, we are so grateful and thankful for your generosity.  Please pray for the remaining $9,000 that we need. This is definitely a faith stretcher for us. If you have any questions in regards to this fundraiser, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sarah Turns 40!

On April 13th, Sarah had her 40th birthday.  It was a great day, and the Lord has blessed me with the most amazing woman in the world.  I love the picture above because it explains who she is at her core, and amazing committed mother who loves her family deeply.  We had hoped to go to Thailand for the Mission Adventures WAVES gathering for our 40th, but we ended up settling on a new kitchen table! Here's to another forty!
