Appreciation Breakfast

Over the past couple years, I have consistently brought Christians to all sorts of different cults, and non Christian places of worship. We have called them Temple Tours, but I am wanting to change that name.  Anyway, I am super excited for an event we will host in May called our "Appreciation Breakfast".  Basically I am inviting all the people who have been so kind to host us countless times, as a way to say thank you.   Imagine, in one room we will have Sikhs, Jehovahs Witness, Bahai, Christian Science, Wiccan, Unitarian Universalist, Unity, and Jewish faiths/cults represented.  Pray for this time, as I would like to share more about the Gospel with them all.  I am so encouraged at how the Holy Spirit has opened doors of relationship with all these people who need Jesus.  The breakfast will take place May 9th, but I would appreciate your prayers already!

Spring Break Mission Adventures

Mission Adventures Students at a Sikh Temple

March 20-24 we hosted a local Christian School here in town for Mission Adventures.  It was an amazing week.  Definitely a lot of work, but so worth it.  I am always amazed at what the Lord can do in a persons life in 5 days.  Some highlights were a teacher breaking down in tears as he drug a wooden cross and identified with the shame of the cross, an agnostic kid deciding that God is indeed real, and a cult leader brought to tears over the compassion our students showed her. A huge highlight for me personally was this was my last Spring Break Mission Adventures that I ran. this summer, I am passing on the torch of leadership to another.  So it was a special time for me.  Also, the principal in this school was so impressed with the Gospel Guy ministry, and the impact it had on his staff and students, that we are in a discussion on possibly seeing the GG become an elective in their high school curriculum!  How cool would that be!  Stay tuned!

Small Gatherings Lead to Great Things

The above picture is from a meeting I had this past week with some local pastors and other guys that I work with in the Gospel Guy Network.  It was our first time gathering to plan an even this coming fall we will be having for pastors in our city.  Basically, we want to rekindle the love for evangelism that many pastors have all but lost due to the demands of leading churches.  Although this will not take place until October, I am very excited for what it will do, and the foundation that it can potentially lay.  ill keep you update on how it comes together. Our goal is to keep it small, hopefully getting between 20-30 pastors in our city to come do a day and a half of outreach with the Gospel Guy Network.

Autumn Turns 8

Amazing how time flies.  March 23rd, Autumn turned 8 years old.  She continues to be our little outdoor adventure girl.  Four days after her, I turned 40.  I think it was more fun for Autumn to turn 8 than it was for me to turn 40.
